Ab Jeff Beck wurden die Yardbirds von der BBC eingeladen, in ihren Sendungen zu spielen. Dazu wurden Live-Aufzeichnungen gespeichert, die der Moderator zu seinen Einführungen dazumischte. Es gab auch viele Interviews mit den Bandmitgliedern. In den BBC-Studios wurden meist mehrere Versionen (Takes) des gleichen Songs aufgenommen, die interessanterweise sehr unterschiedlich ausfielen.

Studioaufnahmen mit Jeff Beck, wobei der Lead-Gitarrist meist eigens aufgenommen wurde und dann alle Einzelbänder zusammengespielt/gemixt wurden. Dadurch ließ sich noch perfektere Musik produzieren als in den BBC-Studios. Bei der Produktion immer sehr engagiert: Paul Samwell-Smith. Es finden sich hier auch zwei Werbespots und zwei Songs für den Eurovision-Wettbewerb 1966 in San Remo (gesungen in italienisch).

Nach dem Verlassen der Yardbirds konkurrierte Eric Clapton in den verschiedenen Bands mit den Yardbirds/Led Zeppelin. In der 3er-Konstellation „Cream” entstand eine weitere Super-Band. Sie brachte Clapton den Durchbruch. Danach entstanden die Hits, die fast jeder kennt, wobei der Gesang Claptons ebenso wichtig wurde wie sein Gitarrenspiel. Wir erleben Jeff Beck, wie er vor den Yardbirds mit den „Tridents“ spielte, Zusammenarbeit mit seinem Freund Jimmy Page während der Yardbird-Zeit und danach seine Entwicklung zum Solo-Karriere-Gitarristen. Fazit: Sein größter musikalischer Beitrag entstand bei den Yardbirds. Er brauchte ihre Dynamik. Die Werke danach bestätigen nur, dass Jeff Beck der beste Gitarrist aller Zeiten war.
